A German Levels


The A level in the German language proficiency refers to the beginner or basic level. It is part of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which provides a standardized framework for assessing language skills.
At the A level, learners have a basic understanding of German and can communicate in simple, everyday situations with limited vocabulary and grammar. They can introduce themselves, ask and answer simple questions, and engage in basic conversations on familiar topics such as personal interests, family, and daily routines.

B German Levels

The B level in the German language proficiency refers to the intermediate level. It is part of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), which provides a standardized framework for assessing language skills.
At the B level, learners have a solid understanding of German and can communicate effectively in a wide range of situations, both familiar and unfamiliar. They have a broader vocabulary and more complex grammar structures compared to the A level, allowing them to express themselves with greater fluency and accuracy.

A1 Level – Beginner Level

A1 (Breakthrough or Beginner): At this level, learners can understand and use familiar everyday expressions and basic phrases. They can introduce themselves, ask and answer simple questions about personal details, and interact in a simple way in everyday situations.

B1 German Levels

The B1 level in German represents an intermediate proficiency level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
At the B1 level, learners are expected to be able to handle a broader range of everyday situations, both in terms of understanding and producing language. They can engage in conversations, express opinions, and understand more complex texts. The B1 level is a significant step towards functional fluency and independence in using the German language.

A2 German Levels

They can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information.
